At last we will begin teaching English at EEC (the English center we work at). Courtney is going to be teaching level 3, which is more grammatical. Roger got lucky and will be teaching level 4, which is more conversation based and is not nearly as involved as Courtney's class. As you can see below, Courtney has to use 4 books when preparing for her class! Please lift our classes to the Father; we hope to build strong relationships with our students so that we can share more about ourselves outside of class. Also, we hope to provide a good education so that the students will be able to speak English more clearly. Lastly we hope that we are not nervous as this is our first time to teach in a class completely by ourselves.
We are still in language school every Monday - Thursday. We finished our 2nd unit on Tuesday after taking a 3 hour test and will begin our 3rd (and final unit) Wednesday. We have a lot of fun with our teachers, we get to go on field trips! Last week we went on a field trip to a museum, a large church, the main post office, and finally to a cigarette factory. The cigarette factory was by far our favorite place! All the cigarette rolling, and packaging, and everything else involved with with making cigarettes is done by hand by the workers. They moved SO fast and each person makes about 200 packs an hour! 200...by hand!!! When we watched all the workers it seriously looked like we were watching a movie in fast forward...it was awesome. Now, obviously we don't condone smoking, but this factory was very neat, and surprisingly the tobacco and cloves smelled very good! Smoke if you got 'em!
