vacation, vacation

We had a great trip to Bali earlier in January. It had been about 6 months since our last vacation and we were really needing a break from working and living here.
Roger found a great villa for us to stay in, we enjoyed swimming in our own pool, eating breakfast each morning in our villa and having tea every afternoon. In the picture below you can see a little bit of our villa and our pool.

Besides relaxing we did a lot of eating while in Bali. We had Italian, Mexican, Bubba Gump's, Hard Rock Cafe, and pizza with real pepperoni (made from the other white meat). It was a great week of eating.

We did, of course, hit up some of the touristy spots. We went to check out the famed Monkey Forest and also watched the sunset at the beach. We had been warned by almost everyone we know to not go the Monkey Forest. They all said it was scary, there were monkeys running around growling everywhere, and that the monkeys would rob you of whatever wasn't held on to tightly. We went anyway.

This guy was about the nicest of all the monkeys. They jumped on us, stole our bananas and hissed at us. Not fun and really quite scary. I guess from now on we should listen to our friends.

I guess this was one of our last childless vacations. We have a few more places we are planning on going before September and after the baby is born we will definitely still travel. Baby Hampton is going to see the world!
