the Big Guy seems to enjoy irony

Every Friday morning we get together with everyone else on our team to have a time of sharing requests and concerns, singing, and studying the Book. We were discussing ways to meet new people because it’s not everyday that people just come to your front door wanting to talk to you. Rarely this is the case, it’s better to be proactive rather than waiting for the people to come to you.

After our time together, we went to a restaurant to celebrate Roger’s birthday and after that we headed home. Not too long after getting home, Courtney heard someone out by the gate trying to get our attention. Two high school girls and one of the helpers had come by to ask if they could meet with Courtney and practice English! If that’s not irony, I’m not quite sure what is.

So on Saturday the two high school girls came by the house to practice English for their TOEFL exam this week. After looking at some of the practice questions, we weren’t convinced that we could pass. Then we practiced some conversational English and talked about school, the differences between America and this country, and religion. One of the girls is a Hindu and the other is a Cousin. We had a fun time talking with them and hope that they want to come back and talk with Courtney more.
