After enjoying a full week of fun and fellowship with all of the white people we moved about an hour down the beach to Nusa Dua.
We started off our vacation time with a trip up into the mountains to go shopping. It was great, we put our new language skills to good use as we bargained for some paintings for our house, place mats, picture albums, bags and all of the other great things that are only found in Asian markets. While shopping we also were able to experience a little more of the culture of Bali and see some traditional temples.
The rest of the week we spent being beach bums and hanging around the pool at our sweet hotel. Our hotel was on the beach and was surrounded by lagoons that we could swim in.
Besides getting sunburned, eating even more pork bacon and enjoying our private butler we did find some time to celebrate our second anniversary. We started the day with snorkeling trip, it was amazing. The water was perfectly clear the fish circled all around us while we fed them doughnuts.
Later that night we got all dressed up and went to a restaurant down the beach to eat some great seafood. Bali was definitely a great way to celebrate being married!
Before returning home we made plenty of time to return to Krispy Kreme for a dozen doughnuts to take home with us and to go back to Hard Rock for one more pulled pork sandwich. We also found a great place near our hotel to watch the waves crash, we have a video of that we will post later. Also we want to let everyone know that we are leaving on Friday (the 13th) to go to Thailand for yet another meeting, so we will definitely put up pictures from that adventure when we return.
