oddities

The adventure that is life in The Islands has continued this week with a rat removal, two floods, a mouse that "uses" our bathroom and a home invasion by an unidentified cat. First, the dead rat has been removed, not by us, but still, it is finally gone. Fortunately that happened early Monday morning, it turns out the rat had died in the garage.
It is rainy season here and as a result we have had two floods this week and for the first time water actually came into our house. There was actually very little in the house, most of it stayed outside.

As you can see we did have to venture out into the water to rescue our car, it was actually a lot of fun and we were very grateful to have our Chaco's, we saw several people (including Roger) lose their flip flops in the deep water.

As for our mouse, well, he crawls up through the drain and uses our downstairs bathroom as a bathroom. We haven't seen him, but Ibu Ning has, she assures us he is small and harmless. We just think it's funny that he goes potty in the bathroom.
Our last story for now involves another bathroom incident, but unfortunately this one didn't take place in the bathroom. We had some furniture delivered today and accidentally left the front door open. After the furniture was assembled and the moving guys had left we found a mysterious yellow puddle in our downstairs living room.

We have no way of really knowing, but we suspect our neighbors cat of coming in and relieving himself in our floor. So odd, but hey, that's life here...
