Tomorrow is Independence Day here. On August 17, 1945 these islands became one big, hot, crowded country. In honor of the occasion I have put together some photos of things that are older than this country.

My dad.

This old car.

The city that we know live in, it's actually 715 years old.

Coca-cola.
The University of Kentucky (and basketball in general).

I'm sure there are many other old things out there that are much older than this country such as the old man with amazing calf muscles that rides his bike around our neighborhood, the old man who walks around our neighborhood always holding either a spatula or a wooden spoon and finally the old man that wears an American flag bandanna and directs traffic.
Hopefully after all of the festivities coming up we will have some interesting "cultural" pictures to share.
